Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was evident as early as the day she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she placed second in the 200-meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she enrolled at in the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix's debut Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium in her various events at the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
